San Felipe's Carreras

This morning had perfect weather for a footrace and
every runner brought his or her feet to the Malecon
for the start of a 10 kilometer sprint. Ten kilometers
was the distance for 13 year olds and above. A 2 kilometer
competition was arranged for the 6 to 12 group. There
were twelve catagories each for both men and women,
the final being one for entrants 65 years and above.
Entrants came from all over northern Baja. One was
even announced from Kenya.
Main awards were cash prizes of 5,000, 2,000 and 1,000
pesos as well as trophies for the various catagories.
