Local deputy Sergio Tolento Hernandez presided at the opening of a new office to serve the citizens of San Felipe. This brings the total number to three, which will operate within the sixth district and are dedicated to serving the population. The goal is to improve the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

At the dedication, Hernandez said the situation of the port will change for the better, since they will be working toward improving public security and will channel the mining tax for urban infrastructure. There are also plans to install an industrial park with maquiladoras that will provide employment opportunities for the citizens of San Felipe.

Attending the event, among other personalities, were municipal delegate José Luis Dagnino López; the coordinator of the subcommittee of PAN, Celso Manuel Villaverde Quionez; the delegate of the General Secretariat of Government, Francisco Sosa Méndez; and the president of the Economic Development Council of San Felipe, Roberto Ledón Pérezchica.
