Military Checkpoint Delays

Came through the military checkpoint this morning around 9:30 am. Took over 30 minutes before we got to the inspection place. That is the worst in the 14 years I have lived in San Felipe!!! Obviously this is a new group of soldiers. When I get home I will once again call the tourist bureau and let them know what this will do to tourism. The old border crossing was just under 30 minutes so I don't think the holiday was the reason. There were only 3 of 4 lanes open and some of the soldiers were standing around reading the paper and picking their noses.

thirty to forty minutes to process today north bound about 9 am. there were thirty cars in front of us. So about i minute of wait per vehicle. They were operating three lanes and did not seem to be taking too much time per vehicle. Did not enjoy the wait but don't think they could do any checking at all in less time.
