FELIPE, BC .- An INGEGI study reveals, with reference
to the
International Internet Day, that Baja
California has the second highest Internet usage in the
Republic. 43.9 percent of its population have a computer
at home and of those, 35.4 percent are connected to the
Internet.
Nationally, the study revealed that 29.4 percent of
the population has a computer at home, of which only
21.3 percent of citizens have Internet.
The percentage increases when analyzing the figures
for computer use, where the 40.1% of the population
use a computer and 33.8% have a means to access the
Internet. The percentage of use by gender is nearly
balanced, men representing 50.7% and women 49.3%.
School levels affect the percentage of population
connected, where citizens with high school education
accounted for 29.2 percent, the professional or college
level equivalent to 25.5 percent and in third place
are high level users at 24 percent .
