RESULTS EASTER IN BAJA CALIFORNIA

Hotel Occupancy:
*San Felipe: 98% (including: 100% Friday and Saturday) * 5% more than 2014
*Ensenada: 90% (including: 100% Friday 95% Saturday) * 9% more than 2014
*Rosarito: 81% (including 97% Friday and Saturday) * 30% more than 2014
*Tijuana: 53% * 53% more than 2014
*Tecate: 50% * 3% less than 2014
*San Quentin: 50% * 10% more than in 2014
*Mexicali: 50% * 2% over 2014
*STATE: 67.5% * 36% more than 2014

The economic benefit for the hospitality industry this weekend was 39 million pesos. An overall economic impact of $ 80 million statewide (restaurants, hotels, leisure centers, shops, etc.), distributed as follows:
* Rosarito: 19.6 million
* Ensenada: 19.3 million
* Tijuana: 17.5 million
* Mexicali: 10.9 million
* San Felipe: 7.6 million
* San Quentin: 3.8 million
* Tecate: 1.3 million

It is estimated that in total, some 357,000 people were mobilized in the State during the weekend, distributed as follows (estimated):
* Rosarito: 87,000 people
* Ensenada: 86,000 people
* Tijuana: 78,000 people
* Mexicali: 48,000 people
* San Felipe: 37,000 people
* San Quentin: 18,000 people
* Tecate: 6000 people

An estimated 70 thousand people stayed in hotels Baja California and at least 70,545 people attended ranches and resorts, mainly in Mexicali, Ensenada and Tecate.

315,000 vehicles were mobilized on the roads of the state.

Incidents:
7 Deaths by drowning in Playas de Rosarito in the Easter period (from 2 to 5 April), 3 children and 4 adults, all these beaches classified as high risk.
- The first were on Friday April 3 in Rancho Evelia where 4 died.
- On Saturday in Puerto Popotla, 2 people died, 16 and 18 years old respectively; the same day at Km46 El Campito Free Road to Ensenada a child under 11 years died.
- 2 of the deceased originate in the City of Mexicali, 4 from Tijuana and 1 from Playas de Rosarito.

- Friday April 3, there was a rollover in San Quentin in which two people were injured, 18 and 16 years old respectively. They were assisted by the Red Cross and are well.
- Friday April 3, a robbery was reported of a tourist in Rosarito on Blvd. Benito Juarez. The person, from the United States, left open the window of her vehicle parked on the road, and someone stole her purse.
