Stolen Cars Recovered

Half a dozen reported stolen vehicles were recovered and three people were arrested at the Port of San Felipe by agents of the State Ministerial Police attached to the 'Anti-Car-Theft Division'.

Juan Carlos Bueno Molina, Director of Preliminary and Process Control said a search were carried out at a tow yard near town called "Grúas Gazcón”. After identifying themselves and and explaining the reason for the search, they were allowed access.

During this operation warrants were drawn up for the arrest of Arturo Cuevas Lopez for the crime of burglary, against Alejandro Gutiérrez Vargas, and against Eduardo Javier Cabrera. They are to appear at the Juzgado Mixto de Primera Instancia Penal in San Felipe

It was reported that the stolen vehicles were mainly Hondas. A Honda Accord, black 1992, Honda Accord, Gray 1991, Honda Civic, black 1994, Honda Civic, red 1991, Acura Integra, red, 1989, and a Toyota Tundra pickup, blue, 2001. All are in good condition and ready to be retrieved by their owners, who must go to the Public Ministry of San Felipe or Mexicali's Vehicle Theft division, to make arrangements for their return.
