San Felipe BC Lions ClubThe Lions Club works closely with the Flying Samaritans, a group of doctors, nurses, pilots and other volunteers from Modesto, CA who give of their time and expertise to supply free eye exams, glasses and surgical needs of various kinds. This would not be possible for the neediest in San Felipe without their dedication. Just this year alone, the San Felipe Lions Club and Flying Samaritans have assisted in supplying over 600 free eye exams including glasses, and provided over 40 necessary surgical procedures for both children and adults.

In only 15 months, the San Felipe Lions Club has been able to provide a half million dollars in medical equipment, eye glasses, eye examination equipment and fire fighting equipment through the donations of Friends of Lions and various supporters from the U.S.

The San Felipe Lions Club assisted in the repair and refurbishing of the Las Manitas School, and the building of a library, both now up and running and providing a beautifully fresh environment for the education of children in a depressed area of San Felipe. The Lions Club also works with local pastor Gary Lewis in helping to fund a new facility for abused and abandoned children, called The Sonshine Hacienda. The Hacienda is also located in Las Manitas and will one day be the home to 50 children.

The Mission Statement of the San Felipe Baja California Lions Club:
To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people, reflecting humanitarian need by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation. Our primary goal is to fulfill that mission of service here in our community.

The members of the Lions Club of San Felipe B. C. and President Gary Dilley invite you to join us for this much awaited event and to help our Club continue to do humanitarian work here in San Felipe.

Our Club meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m., at Cliff & Sue's Los Arcos Restaurant. If you are interested in becoming a part of this rapidly growing service organization, we you invite to come to our meeting as a guest. Much of our funding is provided by other Lions Clubs in the U.S. and Canada, as well as by way of the generosity of Friends of the Lions Clubs.

We are very grateful for all who help us continue our mission here in this wonderful community.
